THE ART OF SCENE WRITING
Scenes are one of the major and powerful literary tool a good writer and author must master. Each scene writing has its own peculiarity, however all scene shares a common characteristics in every good literary work.
1. Every scene that focuses on description or exposition should be generally shorter.
2. Scenes that focuses on building suspense or expressing emotions should be longer.
3. However, know that no writing solution exists to answer the question of scene length. Here, its very advisable that the writer use his/her instinct. Starting the scene for example in the middle of the dialogue such as an argument or action would possibly hook the reader. Whatever that you thing that can make that novel more interesting is generally accepted.
